Rebranding your business can be a stressful process, but it can also be an extremely rewarding milestone.

In this blog, we’ll talk about the beauty of rebranding, what we’ve learned from our own experience, and the changes we’ve embraced recently.

Before we kick things off, let’s start by addressing a simple, yet burning question…

Is it okay to rebrand my business?

The answer is ABSOLUTELY. In fact, it’s something that we encourage you to do if you feel like your current branding doesn’t resonate with your business anymore.

It doesn’t matter whether your business is small, medium-sized, or already a large corporation. Rebranding can take place wherever you are on your business journey.

Even famous brands, like Pepsi and Microsoft, have refurbished their brand design to better fit the times and their current image. But they’re not the only ones! Here’s a great article from Visme that gives more examples of companies that have rebranded over the years.

And while there’s still a debate on what the real definition of a “brand” is, rebranding can involve more than just revising your logo over a period of time.

It can include things like changing your services, and products, how you make your products, how you present your business to your audience, how your audience perceives your business, and more.

Sometimes, rebranding completely changes the whole experience and essence of a business.

And that’s perfectly fine.

The Beauty of Rebranding Your Business

A lot of people are hesitant about rebranding their business. And that’s understandable. Change, whether big or small, can be scary.

However, not all change is as scary. Here are 3 reasons why rebranding your business and change can be good.

  1. It usually means growth. Most of the time, the decision to rebrand is the result of a significant development or growth in a business. From your first 100 customers to your 100,000 and up, you’ll keep learning new things to help you serve your clients better and keep growing.
  2. It’s an opportunity to improve. Rebranding is a great opportunity to tweak and develop aspects of your business that are not working or could work better.

For example, is your current marketing strategy effective? Is there a better way to deliver your services? Are your services updated and aligned with your client’s current needs? What current needs can you address and help with?

3. It’s a great learning experience for you and your team. As you go through the changes—big or small—it’s a good experience to have with your team.

Take advantage of the brainstorming and trial period to see how your team handles the changes. Don’t forget to ask for their insights, suggestions, concerns, and their thoughts about the process. You don’t have to process the changes alone. Everyone can learn from it too!

Why We Decided to Rebrand

The Biz Spa team gathered at a table and discussing.

It’s been more than 10 years since we started our former company, RMS Tech Spa. Much like our aim today, we wanted to help “take the stress out of marketing and tech. Through our different marketing and web services, we helped our clients establish a strong online and offline presence for their businesses.

Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of working with different kinds of businesses and industries— from startups in tech and law to established companies in metal recycling, security, and more.

As we worked with them, our CEO, Julie Stevens, saw the need to assist budding entrepreneurs who lack support and reliable insights as they enter the world of business. Moreover, we know that startup businesses often don’t have the budget to afford a full marketing or support team to help them kick-start their growth.

How can we support the business owners who need extra hands with their marketing and provide educational resources and support for those who want to develop their skills?

The answer, as it turns out, required a lot of faith, planning, and yes, a rebrand!

By late 2021, we decided to take our services, our wonderful team, and our clients to an all-new and better spa— The Biz Spa!

What’s New at The Biz Spa?

Like the name suggests, The Biz Spa was created as a one-stop oasis for every business owner’s marketing needs. The plan was to have subscription-based plans that delivered monthly goodies to help every entrepreneur.

But after a while, we decided to scrap the idea. We wanted our resources to be available for everyone!

Aside from providing our marketing and web services, we also designed our own educational resources to help people start & grow their businesses. Our Resource Library was full of templates, guides, checklists, and even tutorials and webinars that tackle topics like social media, web design, branding, and even emergency preparedness.

Fast forward to this year, and our website, services, team, and branding continue to change as The Biz Spa continues to grow.

The Biz Spa website changes over the years

We’ve learned a lot throughout the whole process! Now, we have a clearer picture of The Biz Spa— who we are, what we do for our clients, and how we can serve them in the best possible ways. We’ve embraced a more personal approach to our services so we can have a more in-depth understanding of our clients. Turns out it’s also a great way to make friends!

And speaking of friends, we’ve fully embraced the benefits of making connections with other brilliant and inspiring minds. Instead of videos and webinars, we dove into in-person seminars, networking events, and chats to strengthen our support system and get in touch with potential collaborators. The amount of things you learn and the doors it opens are astounding!

We love making connections so much that The Biz Spa has branched out to create The Biz Exchange! This network of outstanding professionals in the Locust, NC area is near and dear to our hearts. We meet and host events regularly. Some of the friends we meet there end up working with us at The Biz Spa!
